About Us

Central Sydney Collaborative Forum is a professional organisation of over 20 experienced family lawyers in central Sydney. It is not a law firm but a think tank of lawyers who are committed to the constructive resolution of family law disputes using collaborative family law.

The members of our Forum aim to assist their own clients to reach agreement with their partner, who is assisted by another member of our Forum or by any other collaboratively trained lawyer in Sydney or elsewhere. Members of our Forum believe that family law disputes should be dealt with in a way that is designed to preserve dignity and to encourage agreement. Every Forum member is trained in collaborative law. We are dedicated to developing collaborative family law process and techniques. We meet regularly for that purpose and aim to include other experts who can assist partners to reach an agreement on financial and parenting disputes, such as child experts, financial advisers and accountants.

The cornerstone of membership of Central Sydney Collaborative Forum is honouring a Code of Conduct that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family law matters and encourages solutions that consider the needs of all members of the family.

This Code requires family lawyers and other professionals to deal with each other with civility and to encourage their clients to put their differences aside and reach fair agreements.
